Refractive Therapy Treatment
We assist our clients with both types of refractive therapy to correct or improve vision -- LASIK (which stands for laser in situ keratomy for near-sightedness, far-sightedness and astigmatism) and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT), a non-invasive, totally reversible treatment.

Surgical Refractive Therapy -- Laser Vision Correction (LASIK): Clients choosing LASIK receive all pre- and post-procedure care here and generally visit the LASIK center just once. If you are considering this option, we can conduct the comprehensive evaluation to confirm you are a good candidate and refer you to a LASIK specialist we know achieves excellent results.
Non-surgical Refractive Therapy -- Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT): Corneal refractive therapy manages nearsightedness during the day by having the client wear gas-permeable contact lenses only at night. The evaluation and fitting process is performed entirely in our office.

Vision Therapy
Some visual conditions cannot be treated adequately with just glasses, contact lenses and/or patching, and are best resolved through a program of Vision Therapy. North Park Vision Center is one of few optometric offices in Colorado specializing in vision therapy. This proven therapeutic approach can help both children and adults address vision problems that interfere with learning, daily living and sports performance.

Our approach to vision therapy recognizes the complexity of these problems and the need to address several factors at the same time. Clients currently benefiting from our "total view" program include:
- Students who are not progressing at class level due to vision problems.
- Gifted students who are not achieving their potential due to vision problems.
- Individuals diagnosed--and frequently misdiagnosed--with dyslexia and ADD/ADHD.
- Those with crossed eyes, wandering eyes or "lazy" eye.
- People with vision problems related to autism, developmental delays and head injuries.
- Athletes and others wanting to improve their coordination and enhance success.
